Major Calendars of the world and their history
What day is it today ? Perhaps this is a question that humans have always asked. This is not only a curious expression but a question on which our life depends. Planting, cooking and gathering food in bad weather can endanger the existence of the Puri civilization.
Before civilization, time was measured and added as Calendars. Many different types of calendars were used throughout the world. These are not entirely correct for relying on the observation of calendar trends and for the polar astronomical cycle (eg the position of stars).
The ancient man realized that the weather changes in a cyclical form and it takes as much time for a season to come back as it takes time for the sun to revolve around the earth. This time is defined as one year, this changing time is called year, month, week and day. Now let’s introduce you to the world’s major calendars
The Julian calendar was started by Rome Emperor Julius Caesar in 45 BC. This calendar was created with 30 days of 11 months or 31 days with an additional February month of 28 months. This calendar (Calendars) had a total of 365 days with 12 months. In this calendar, an additional day was added every 4 years for 29 days in February as there were 365.25 days in the Julian year. But in the Julian calendar there was a difference of 11 minutes 30 seconds from the solar calendar. It does not seem to us, but several centuries ago (16th century) it was found that the Julian calendar was 10 days behind the solar calendar.
The Gregorian calendar (Calendars) is now commonly used worldwide. It was prepared in 1582 by the then pop Gregory. This calendar corrected the incorrect calculation of the old Julian calendar. The Gregorian calendar introduced a new rule in the superannuation and determined the differences in it and combined the calendar year and the astronomical year. Thus this change was implemented in 1582. According to this, when people went to sleep on October 4, they woke up on October 15, although small mistakes were found in this calendar. This calendar will decrease by one day after every 3236 years. Along with the Gregorian calendar, other calendars are being used around the world. Most calendars are used for religious purposes.
Contrary to the name, it is used in many parts of Southeast Asia in reference to religious and agricultural purposes. What distinguishes it from other calendars is that according to the Chinese zodiac, the Namo of the year would recur every 60 years. is
It is a 12-month lunar calendar (calendars) which is counted from 16 July 622 AD. This date corresponds to the date of Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina. In this calendar, the date is calculated according to the position and phase of the moon, it is used to determine the dates of Islamic festivals and memories.
This calendar (Calendars) is used in India. The Hindu calendar is based on the lunar solar system. Its path was set 2000 years before Christ. The Hindu calendar is made up of a combination of two separate independent calendars that are used together. The solar calendar is used for birth dates and astrology, and the lunar calendar for religious purposes.
This is the lunar solar calendar, it can be considered at the following points
Earth’s rotation speed (per day)
Rotation speed of moon around the earth (per month)
Rotation speed of the Earth around the Sun (in a year)
Actually it is very old calendar, according to this calendar we are living in 5775 years
