This claim has been made by the Archaeological Survey of India after the X-ray, CT scan, 3D scanning and GPR survey of the remains found in Sanauli.

The ASI has also claimed that the war of Mahabharata is not two thousand years ago but four thousand years ago. Traces of this are found in the excavation of Sanauli. But many historians are also questioning this claim of ASI.
