Early Life

Daniel Gerhard Brown is an American author of thriller novels, most notably Robert Langdon Stories: Angels and Demons (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2003), The Lost Symbol (2009), Inferno (2013) and Origin (2017) .

His novels are treasure hunts set over a 24-hour period. Feature recurring themes of cryptography, keys, symbols, codes, art, and conspiracy theories. His books have been translated into 56 languages, and as of 2012. Sold over 200 million copies. Three of them, Angels and Demons (2000), Da Vinci Code (2003) and Inferno (2013) have been adapted into films.

Brown’s novels include the lead character, Langdon, also cover historical themes and Christianity as forms, and generate controversy. Brown has stated on his website that his books are not anti-Christian, although he himself is on a ‘continuous spiritual journey’, adding that his book The Da Vinci Code is simply “an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate Is “and suggests that the book can be used” as a positive catalyst for introspection and discovery of our faith “.

Brown grew up in Exeter, New Hampshire as the eldest of three children and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, a decidedly up-market school where his father served as a math teacher, in 1982.

His mother, Constance, was primarily a professional musician involved in performing sacred music. Although Dan Brown actually participated in the local public (i.e. open enrollment), schools up to ninth grade still lived with his family on the Exeter campus.

Career

The incident led to Brown’s interest in secret intelligence agencies, which formed the basis of his first novel, Digital Fortress (1998).

Writing skills

Focused on secret organizations and code breaking, the novel became a model for Brown’s later works. In his next novel, Angels and Demons (2000), Brown introduced Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology. The fast-paced thriller follows Latden’s efforts to save the Vatican from the Illuminati. A secret society formed during the Renaissance opposing the Roman Catholic Church. Although the novel received positive reviews, it failed to catch up with readers.

In 1997, Dan Brown came out with his first thriller, Digital Fortress. He went on to write Angels and Demons and Deception Points. His masterpiece, The Da Vinci Code. Was published in March 2003. Sold nearly 6000 copies on its first day and reached the New York Times best seller list in its first week
