Biography of Rajinikanth: 

Shivaji Rao Gaikwad, especially known as Rajinikanth, is an Indian film artiste who mainly works in Tamil cinema. Prior to becoming an actor, he was employed as a bus conductor in Bangalore Transport Services. In 1973, he took admission in Madras Film Institute to get a diploma in acting. He made his debut in the 1975 Tamil drama film Apoorva Ragangal, in the Tamil film he has played many Manmohan characters, which people still remember.

He has acted as a lead artist in several commercially successful films. Since then people started calling him “Superstar” and he became the most famous personality of Tamil Nadu. He has a different way of speaking dialogues in films, not only in the country but also abroad people are crazy about his voice and style.

Early life

Rajinikanth was born on 12 December 1950 in a Marathi family. His mother’s name was Ramabai and father’s name was Ramoji Rao, his father was a police constable and mother housewife from Bangalore. He was named Shivaji Rao after the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji. Rajinikanth’s ancestors were from Mawdi, a hard stone village near Jejuri in present-day Pune. Rajni is the youngest of four brothers and sisters.

He is the youngest of four sister brothers, along with sister Aswath Balubhai and two elder brothers Satyanarayana Rao and Nageswara Rao. Rajni completed her primary education from a school called ‘Gavipuram Government Kannada Modern Primary School’. People says that rajinikanth was a big scholar type child at that time. During his schooling, he continued to participate in plays, due to which his passion for theater grew and which later got a place.

On the day after his education, a man starts thinking about his career, where Rajinikanth’s days have been very difficult. He did many things in Bangalore and Madras city, among which the work of porter and carpenter also. Rajinikanth married Lata Rangachari who had come to interview him for the college magazine and he proposed Lata on seeing her. They got married on 26 February 1981 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Rajinikanth has two daughters Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth. Aishwarya Rajinikanth married South actor Dhanush in 2004 and also has two sons. His younger daughter Soundarya is active in the Tamil film industry, who is also a director, producer and graphics designer. She married businessman Ashwin Ramkumar in 2010 and has a son, Ved Krishna.

 

Film career

Rajinikanth’s film journey is no less than any film. He started off with a negative character and villain on screen. Then did side roles and finally made a mark as a hero. There was a time when despite being a great actor, he was ignored for many years but he did not lose his courage. This shows the confidence of Rajinikanth and the spirit of not giving up even in the opposite circumstances. Rajinikanth has proved that age is only a number and if a person is determined to do something, age does not matter.

In the world of jokes, Rajinikanth is known as someone for whom nothing is impossible and Rajinikanth constantly proves this fact. Today, he is working on the film Robot-2 at the age of 65, his style rules the hearts of people.

First Film

Rajinikanth started his film career with the 1975 Tamil film “Apoorva Ragangal”. In this film, director Balachandar gave him a small role of Srividya’s husband and Kamal Haasan was the main actor in this film. The film was highly appreciated and was awarded three National Film Awards. Rajinikanth started his film career with several films with Kamal Haasan, of which Kamal Haasan played the lead role and Rajinikanth played a negative role in all the films.

In 1978, Rajinikanth did 20 films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. Bairavi was the film in which director Bhaskar gave him the status of superstar. By 1980, Rajinikanth had become a popular actor in South Indian cinema. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth had once decided to quit acting but later he was persuaded. He played a double role in this very strong film with Tamil film “Billa” and the film was very successful. After this Rajinikanth did double roles in many films. Apart from this, in 1982, Rajinikanth gave three roles together in many films.

Award

Rajinikanth was awarded the Padma Bhushan in the field of arts by the Government of India in 2000. These are from the state of Tamil Nadu. Rajinikanth has received several awards for many of his films, mostly in Tamil. He received his first Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actor in 1984 for Nallavanuku Nallavan.

Later he received a Filmfare Award nomination for his performances in Shivaji (2007) and Enthiran (2010). As of 2014, Rajinikanth has received six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for his performances in various films. He also contributed to writing and production for his on-screen acting and received several awards from Off Screen Cinema Express and Filmfans Association.

Rajinikanth received the Kalaimamani Award in 1989 and the MGR Award in 1989, both from the Government of Tamil Nadu. In 1995, the South Indian Film Artists Association presented him with the Kalaichelvam Award. Padma Bhushan (2000) and Padma Vibhushan (2016) were honored by the Government of India.

He was selected as the entertainer of the year for 2007 by Indian NDTV Gaya, competing against the likes of Shahrukh Khan. Awarded Raj Kapoor Award for the same year by the Government of Maharashtra. He received the Chevalier Shivaji Ganesan Award for Excellence in Indian Cinema at the 4 Vijay Awards. Rajinikanth was also named one of the most influential persons in South Asia by Asiaweek.

Award

Rajinikanth has received many awards for his work in Tamil films and for his contribution, and the support of people of different South is also different for Rajinikanth, not only do people love him but give him so much respect The rare one is seen for a movie star. Also, let us tell you a special thing that he got paid over 43 crores for working in the film Shivaji, due to which he has become one of the highest paid actors in Asia after Jackie Chan of China and It is also a record of its kind.
