Biography of Manushi Chhillar: Manushi Chillar of India is the winner of Miss World 2017. Manushi won the title in a competition held in Sanaya, China on 18 November 2017. A total of 118 countries’ beauties took part in the competition. In view of Manushi’s distinct mental abilities, she was also given the title of beauty with purpose in the competition. Andrea Meza of Mexico finished 1st Runner-Up in this competition. England’s Stephanie Hill finished third in the competition’s 2nd Runner-Up. She has also been the winner of Femina Miss India 2017.
Chillar was born on 14 May 1997 in a village in Jhajjar district of Haryana. His father, Dr. Mitra Basu Chillar is an MD in medicine, and mother Dr. Neelam Chillar is an MD in biochemistry. His elementary education Thomas’ School is from Delhi and is pursuing MBBS degree from Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women, Sonepat, Haryana. She is also a trained Kuchipudi dancer. Manushi is a great dancer Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Took training under Reddy. She has also been a part of the National School of Drama. He is currently an MBBS second year student at the Medical College, Sonepat.
Earlier, on 25 June 2017, she was also awarded Femina Miss India 2017. She presented the state of Haryana as Miss India Haryana and took part in the competition with 29 contestants from Delhi and others. Also represented India in the “Miss World 2017” competition held in China in November 2017.
Education and interests
Manushi did his early education at St. Thomas School in Delhi. She is currently an MBBS student at Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women, Sonepat, Haryana. He has duly trained Indian classical dance. He has mastered this dance under the eminent Guru Raja Reddy of Kuchipudi, Radha Reddy Kaushalya Reddy.
To enhance her acting skills, Manushi has also attended the National School of Drama. He is interested in adventure games in sports. They like outdoor sports like scuba diving, snorkelling and bungee jumping. Manushi had to drop her MBBS studies for a year to participate in the Miss World competition.
Manushi and his family have deep reverence for the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. When she returned to India after winning the crown of Miss World, Siddhi along with her family also went to visit Vinayak’s court. According to Manushi this is the place where I feel peace mentally.
On 25 June 2014, Manushi represented the state of Haryana in the Femina Miss India 2014 competition. During this competition, Chillar was also awarded with the honor of being named Miss Photogenic.
Manushi made the semi-finals at the Top Model, People’s Choice, and Multimedia competitions during the World Sundari 2014 competition. Along with this, he was also declared as the co-winner of the ‘Beauty Bid a Purpose’ competition. In this competition, she toured 20 villages, working for awareness on the topic of “menstruation and hygiene” under her project named ‘Shakti’ and reached out to about 5,000 women.
On 14 November 2014, Manushi was crowned as the crown of world beauty 2014 by Puerto Rico citizen and former world beauty Stephanie Dale. Thus Manushi has now become the sixth Indian woman to wear this crown. Significantly, in 2000, an Indian woman has again received this honor after a long gap after Priyanka Chopra received this award.
As Vishwa Sundari 2014, Chillar returned to India on 26 November, where he was greeted with great joy by fans. He then delivered his address as a speaker at the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Summit held in Hyderabad. Manushi has also received a government grant of Rs 18 crore for her “Beauty with a Purpose” project ‘Shakti’ by the Haryana government.
Besides being the brand ambassador for the Anemia Free Haryana campaign. Not only this, he has also been honored with the Special Achievement Award in the 2014 CNN-IBN Indian of the Year award for winning the title of World Sundari.The sixth Indian to become Miss World
Prior to this, Priyanka Chopra was chosen as Miss World in 2000. Incidentally she too belongs to Ambala in Haryana. In this competition, Miss Mexico Andrea Mezha was ranked second and Miss England Stephanie Hill at number three. Manushi is the 67th Miss World. She has been Miss India and Miss Haryana in the year 2017. Manushi Chhillar is also the sixth Indian to receive the Miss World title.
