Biography of Dharmendra: Dharmendra is an actor in Hindi films. His wife Hema Malini, sons Bobby Dyol and Sunny Dyol also work in films. Dharmendra was a Lok Sabha MP of the Bharatiya Janata Party from Bikaner from 2004 to 2009. He was born in Phagwara in Kapurthala district of Punjab state. Dharmendra married twice and retained his two wives. Dharmendra converted to Islam to marry Hema Malini. He was first married to Prakash Kaur in 1954 at the age of 19.
His second marriage was with Bollywood actress Hema Malini. In fact, the village of Dharmendra is Sahnewal under the district Ludhiana. Which has now taken the form of a town. During this time he also did many comedy films, including Tum Hasin Mein Jawan, Do Char, Chupke Chupke, Dillagi, Servant Biwi Ka.

Dharmendra is very active in politics. As a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2004 general election, he won elections from Bikaner in Rajasthan and was also made a member of the Parliament. During his election campaign he had expressed his views on many important issues and tried to explain the meaning of democracy to the people of the country. But during this time he also made many critical talks. Despite being a member of Parliament, he rarely visited Parliament. Because he devoted most of his time to shooting films and farm houses.
In 1983, Deol started a production company called Winner. His first film as a producer was Betab which was released in 1983, with his son Sunny Deol in the lead role.
